Welcome to Berlin
After a long time of only virtual encounters and lockdown, we are very pleased to be your host for the 4th European 22q11 Congress in the Henry Ford Building of the Free University of Berlin. We will welcome renowned doctors and scientists to Berlin who will share their knowledge and expertise about deletion syndrome 22q11 over two days with families and specialists from all over Europe and the USA.
The Henry Ford Building was built between 1952-54 by the architects Franz Heinrich Sobotka and Gustav Müller. The listed building underwent a thorough renovation from 2005-2007 and was brought up to date with the latest event technology in 2020. It houses the university library with reading rooms as well as the lecture hall and conference center of the Free University of Berlin. The building was named after Henry Ford II, who arranged for the American Henry Ford Foundation to assume the construction costs. The Henry Ford Building is located on the campus of the FU Berlin in the Berlin district of Dahlem and can be easily reached by public transport from both the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport and Berlin Central Station.
